About the role#
The Service Engineering team in Santa Barbara supports service-related aspects of new capital equipment launches. As an intern, you will prepare, execute, and document deliverables while working with the engineering staff. You will research product lifecycle needs and manage documentation for launch and improvement initiatives. This position requires 40 hours of work per week on-site.
What you'll do#
- Support new product launch readiness documentation.
- Collaborate on product improvement initiatives.
- Create playbooks for internal best practices.
- Develop job-aides for knowledge transfer.
- Assist with software releases, training materials, and documentation.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a degree in Biomedical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Experience in technical fields, medical devices, customer support, product development, or project management is preferred.
