About the role#
This internship focuses on manufacturing support within the Lasermarking, Cleaning, and Passivation operations at the AMIE facility. You will assist with laser marking, laser cutting, and robotic systems. Your work will also involve the chemical characterization of medical devices in contact with process fluids. The role requires a balance of chemical and mechanical skills to support fixture development and process fluid characterization for new medical products.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate laser durability in Passivation Operations for the PASCLN process.
- Perform chemical characterization of medical devices used in solvent cleaning.
- Clean I&R devices using laser cutting techniques.
- Optimize current fixtures for cleaning processes.
- Document process parameters for in-process cleaning systems.
- Assess the feasibility of substituting existing solvents for backup systems.
What you'll need#
- Progress toward a college degree in chemical engineering. Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with Dichloroethylene based solvents and laser marking processes is preferred.

- Location: Ave Maria, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 2027 to August 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time (40 hours per week).
- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
