About the role#
The Youth & Family Programs Internship offers hands-on experience in designing, supporting, and evaluating educational programs for youth, families, teens, and multigenerational audiences. This role is suited for those interested in museum education, public programs, community engagement, or informal learning environments. You will gain experience by supporting programs that activate museum galleries, studios, and outdoor spaces.
What you'll do#
- Assist with program production, facilitation, and content development.
- Support Family Days, school break programming, and youth and teen camps, classes, and workshops.
- Facilitate teen nights and teen-focused engagement programs.
- Help with nature-based and outdoor learning programs.
- Provide on-site support for exhibition openings and museum-wide community events.
- Handle administrative tasks, material organization, setup, and breakdown.
- Engage with museum guests and observe teaching strategies and visitor interactions.
What you'll need#
- Experience or interest in art, education, museum work, or event production.
- Excellent guest service and communication skills.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Enrollment in or graduation from an accredited program within the past three years for higher compensation tiers.
Location & details#
- Location: Bentonville, Arkansas.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 25, 2027, to April 30, 2027).
- Availability: Wednesday through Sunday is a priority.
- Compensation: Paid internship with rates varying by education level ($12.00 to $14.00 per hour).
- Employment: Part-time role.
