About the role#
The Public Relations and Social Media Internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a 360-degree public relations practice. Interns will support integrated communications efforts for Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Momentary. Performance is evaluated based on the ability to meet deadlines, follow directions, and contribute practical solutions to communications challenges.
What you'll do#
- Track and create weekly media reports.
- Write media alerts, press releases, and occasional articles or blog posts.
- Create social media content and support strategy through research, posts, and evaluation.
- Develop media plans and perform research.
- Submit events to community calendars.
- Host onsite media and production teams.
- Staff interviews and events as a representative of the PR and Social Media teams.
What you'll need#
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with using computers and the internet as research and communication tools.
- Ability to accept and synthesize constructive critique of your work.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work at least 15 hours per week.
- Willingness to sign a confidentiality agreement.
