About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in IT audit by working alongside professionals on client engagements. The role involves a mix of project work, client interaction, and internal meetings. You will receive exposure to fieldwork including SOC audits, IT General Controls, cybersecurity assessments, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
What you'll do#
- Learn the client platform structure and control environment to evaluate process risks.
- Perform audits, reviews, compilations, and consulting engagements.
- Interpret and analyze audit evidence, operational data, and information systems to draw logical conclusions.
- Participate in live interviews with C-suite clients to understand current state processes.
- Develop tests for key controls and write audit reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in business, accounting, finance, management information systems, computer science, or an equivalent field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- A dual degree in Accounting and Information Systems is preferred.
- A plan to complete the 150 semester or 225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and August 2028 is strongly preferred.
