About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027 based in Austin, Texas. You will work on-site to gain hands-on experience in IT audit. The role involves exposure to fieldwork, including SOC audits, internal audits, and cybersecurity assessments. You will work alongside professionals at all levels to develop skills in a consulting environment.
What you'll do#
- Gain real-world exposure to IT audits, reviews, compilations, and projects.
- Learn the client platform structure and control environment to evaluate process risks.
- Perform audits, reviews, and consulting engagements including ISO and cybersecurity assessments.
- Interpret and analyze audit evidence, operational data, and information systems.
- Participate in live interviews with C-Suite clients to understand current state processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in accounting, finance, economics, business administration, computer science, or cybersecurity.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, ISO assessments, and Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Knowledge of the rules, regulations, and code of ethics of the AICPA.
- A plan to complete the 150 semester or 225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2025 and August 2026 is strongly preferred.
