About the role#
This IT Audit internship offers hands-on experience within a professional accounting and consulting firm. You will work alongside team members at all levels to gain insight into the field. This role involves fieldwork on client engagements, including SOC audits, IT general controls support, cybersecurity assessments, and internal audits. The position is full-time and based on-site in Dallas.
What you'll do#
- Perform audits, reviews, compilations, and consulting engagements such as ISO, Cybersecurity, SOC I, and SOC II.
- Learn a client's platform structure and control environment to evaluate process risks.
- Develop tests for key controls, write audit reports, and determine the effectiveness of those controls.
- Interpret and analyze audit evidence, operational data, and information systems.
- Participate in live interviews with C-suite clients to understand their current state processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in business, accounting, finance, management information systems, computer science, or a related field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- A preference for candidates pursuing a dual degree in Accounting and Information Systems.
- A preference for candidates planning to complete the 150 semester or 225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure between December 2027 and August 2028.
