About the role#
This Summer 2027 internship provides hands-on experience in IT audit. You will work alongside professionals on client engagements, gaining exposure to the same tasks as associate-level hires. Your time will be split between project work, client interactions, internal meetings, and learning opportunities.
What you'll do#
- Perform audits, reviews, and compilations, including SOC I, SOC II, ISO, and cybersecurity engagements.
- Learn client platform structures and control environments to evaluate process risks.
- Interpret audit evidence, operational data, and information systems to draw logical conclusions.
- Participate in live interviews with C-suite clients to understand current processes.
- Apply knowledge of rules, regulations, and codes of ethics from the AICPA, ISACA, and IIA.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's program in business, accounting, finance, management information systems, computer science, or an equivalent field.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
- A dual degree in Accounting and Information Systems is preferred.
- A plan to complete the 150 semester or 225 quarter unit requirement for CPA licensure eligibility between December 2027 and August 2028 is strongly preferred.
