About the role#
Ardurra is hiring a Mechanical HVAC Engineering Intern for our Asheville, North Carolina office. You will work under general supervision on mechanical and HVAC projects. This role involves applying standard engineering techniques to tasks like HVAC system design, heating and cooling load calculations, and ductwork or piping system layouts. You will gain hands-on experience by supporting the design and analysis of mechanical systems for building and infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Support mechanical and HVAC engineering projects by assisting with day-to-day tasks.
- Help with technical documentation, equipment selection, and system layouts.
- Perform data collection and participate in site visits or fieldwork.
- Organize project data, draft reports, and provide technical support for departmental projects.
- Assist professional staff with ongoing assignments and project deliverables.
- Update project documentation and spreadsheets.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program for Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team of professionals.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
