About the role#
Ardurra is hiring an HVAC Mechanical Engineering Intern for our Durham, North Carolina office. You will work under supervision to apply standard engineering techniques to various building and infrastructure projects. This role involves performing assignments of limited scope to help you gain hands-on experience with mechanical system design and analysis.
What you'll do#
- Perform HVAC system design and calculate heating and cooling loads.
- Design ductwork and piping systems while assisting with equipment selection.
- Support project teams with data collection, system layouts, and site visits.
- Help with technical documentation and basic engineering calculations.
- Contribute to energy efficiency improvements and infrastructure project tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and work ethic.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
