About the role#
This is a full-time, paid co-op position based in Alcoa, Tennessee. You will join our team for the Summer and Fall 2027 terms. You will report to a manager and work alongside a mentor to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing facility. The work environment alternates between an office setting and the production floor, where temperatures may vary. While the standard schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, you may be required to work outside of these hours occasionally.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects that impact the business.
- Assist with maintenance, repairs, and project planning.
- Perform other electrical engineering tasks as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Electrical Engineering.
- Student status at UT - Knoxville or Tennessee Tech with co-op eligibility.
- Completion of your freshman year before the program begins.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Prior work experience or involvement in at least one extracurricular activity is preferred.
