About the role#
Aramco is hiring summer students for the 2027 program at the Houston Research Center. This role involves working alongside experienced scientists and engineers to address technical challenges in upstream and downstream operations. You will support research projects, contribute to data-driven decision-making, and assist in the development of new technologies. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Conduct laboratory measurements, experiments, and material characterization.
- Organize, analyze, and integrate data from laboratory, field, and modeling sources.
- Develop and evaluate AI and machine learning models for upstream applications.
- Perform circuit design, firmware programming, mechanical design, and additive manufacturing.
- Assist senior engineers with market intelligence reports and technical simulations.
- Synthesize catalytic and adsorptive materials and develop novel polymers.
- Convert research code into production-ready workflows.
- Collaborate with scientists to deploy digital technologies and support process optimization.
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts for conferences or journals.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, Geology, Chemistry, Material Science, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks under the guidance of mentors.
- Strong skills in data organization and technical analysis.
- Proficiency in preparing technical reports, project demonstrations, and presentations.
