About the role#
Aramco is offering a 2027 Summer Student Program in Houston, Texas. This program provides hands-on experience in either AI/ML engineering or Information Security. You will work with technical teams to solve business challenges, monitor threats, and manage data infrastructure.
What you'll do#
- Design and implement machine learning models for tasks like NLP, clustering, and regression.
- Clean and analyze structured and unstructured datasets.
- Collaborate on model tuning, evaluation, and deployment strategies.
- Document your code, findings, and processes.
- Assist with Security Operations Center activities, including triage notes and incident response.
- Monitor cybersecurity threats, track vulnerabilities, and analyze phishing attempts.
- Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance tasks such as policy reviews, risk assessment documentation, and control evidence collection.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or .Net.
- Knowledge of ML concepts like supervised and unsupervised learning, cross-validation, and overfitting.
- Experience with data manipulation tools like Pandas and visualization libraries like Matplotlib.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- An interest in threat detection, incident response, or risk management.
- Understanding of security concepts including access control, malware, logging, and network security.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical teams.
