About the role#
This position is for a student cashier working within the campus C-Stores at Western Kentucky University. You will support daily food service operations, gain experience in customer service, and help maintain a clean and safe environment for guests.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items following standardized recipes and instructions.
- Set up workstations, including prep tables, service counters, and hot wells.
- Serve food to customers and ensure their needs are met.
- Replenish stock and keep food items at appropriate levels.
- Store food properly according to safety standards.
- Clean and sanitize workstations at the end of shifts.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide helpful service to guests and coworkers.
- Follow company safety and sanitation policies while ensuring the security of assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must have or be willing to acquire food safety certification.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
- Willingness to wear uniforms or use personal protective equipment as required.
