About the role#
This is a 12-month, full-time co-op position based in Etobicoke, Ontario. You will join the Production Technical department to assist with the planning and optimization of preventive maintenance tasks and the evaluation of production equipment.
What you'll do#
- Develop and track preventive maintenance tasks.
- Analyze production systems to identify improvements in safety, quality, and productivity.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to execute maintenance projects.
- Mine equipment and production data using spreadsheets and databases.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new process equipment.
- Participate in Installation Qualification and Operational Qualification (IQOQ) for machinery.
- Create and update Standard Operational Procedures (SOP).
- Ensure your work follows all safety, quality, and compliance policies.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a recognized post-secondary co-op program.
- Completion of your third year in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work both as a team member and independently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and MSAccess is beneficial.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory requirements is an asset.
