About the role#
We are looking for an engineering intern to join our team in Montreal to support a major site expansion project. You will work alongside a global team of process, utility, automation, and mechanical engineers to help bring this project to life. This is a full-time, paid internship opportunity lasting 8 to 12 months, with start dates available in Winter, Summer, or Fall 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with advanced engineering tasks, including sequence and alarm testing.
- Support automation and process engineers during program and equipment testing.
- Contribute to broad-scale work impacting the site's clean utilities.
- Coordinate with plumbers, electricians, and other contractors to execute project tasks.
- Perform field walk-downs of P&IDs to ensure accuracy.
- Verify component lists and assemble comprehensive system documentation.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an engineering program, preferably pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to commit to a full-time internship for 8 to 12 months in Montreal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong communication skills in both English and French, as you will interact with international teams.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well within a team.
- Experience with AutoCAD and the ability to interpret P&IDs or single-line electrical drawings are considered assets.
