About the role#
Harmon, Inc. is hiring interns for the Summer 2027 program. As a Construction Project Management Intern, you will work on active projects alongside project managers and field leaders. This role offers hands-on experience with the construction process from initial planning through final completion.
What you'll do#
- Maintain subcontractor files, job folders, and project documentation.
- Support project schedule updates and track milestones.
- Manage correspondence with subcontractors, suppliers, design firms, and owner representatives.
- Review project documents, including shop drawings, transmittals, bulletins, purchase orders, and change orders.
- Monitor construction schedules and assist with critical path updates.
- Process progress payments and extra work orders.
- Develop and track project punch lists.
- Participate in project team, progress, and scheduling meetings.
- Record and follow up on meeting notes and action items.
- Maintain project logs and organize paperwork.
- Assist with construction inspections and review blueprints.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Technology, Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing is preferred.
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time during the summer.
- Interest in construction project management.
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Customer service mindset and professional attitude.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Familiarity with construction documents, blueprints, specifications, and contracts.
- Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.

- This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship.
- Available locations: Bolingbrook, IL; New York, NY; Lewisville, TX; Kennesaw, GA; Kent, WA; San Francisco, CA; Orlando, FL; and Glen Burnie, MD.
