About the role#
The Construction Management Engineer Intern will join our team in Oklahoma City for the Summer 2027 term. You will assist the Engineering team with estimating, managing, and commissioning construction projects. This is a full-time, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Work with Design Build Firms to define mechanical and automation requirements for new and expanding aggregate plants.
- Oversee the development of greenfield sites, including roads, plant pad sites, railroad spurs, storm water management plans, and power distribution.
- Manage project quality, schedules, and budgets to ensure stakeholder value.
- Foster a safe work culture across all levels of project involvement.
- Estimate project costs using historical data, vendor information, and your own experience.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong technical and engineering skills, including the ability to build and interpret complex Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to work independently and manage large workloads under time constraints.
- Excellent communication and reading comprehension skills.
- A valid driver license and a good driving record.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Ability to work outside for extended periods and handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 50 lbs and navigating uneven surfaces.
- Experience in mining or the aggregate industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with modeling software like AutoCAD or Tekla is preferred.
- Electrical and automation experience is preferred.
