About the role#
This internship offers a chance to gain hands-on experience in the procurement cycle for large-scale hydroelectric projects. You will work alongside experienced professionals to support the supply chain process, from initial requests to final delivery. This role is full-time and based on-site in Pointe-Claire.
What you'll do#
- Identify project requirements by working with engineering and project teams.
- Locate suppliers and assist in preparing requests for proposals.
- Compare submissions and highlight significant discrepancies to support decision-making.
- Prepare and update purchase orders under supervision.
- Track order progress, required documentation, and delivery dates.
- Resolve routine supplier inquiries and assist with communication.
- Collaborate with supplier accounts on invoice processing and reconciliation.
- Use SAP and LMS to manage urgent purchases and internal tracking.
- Prepare status reports to help move projects forward.
What you'll need#
- Current studies in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
- Ability to translate information into concrete actions.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Autonomy, curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Clear communication skills in both French and English, written and spoken.
- Ability to read workshop or mechanical drawings is an asset.
- Interest in negotiation, commercial analysis, or experience with SAP is a plus.
