About the role#
Anderson Injury Lawyers is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Intern to support the accounting team with client fund distributions and day-to-day financial functions. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional office environment for students interested in accounting, finance, or business operations.
What you'll do#
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and records.
- Assist with billing, invoicing, client fund distributions, and expense tracking.
- Support bank reconciliations and help resolve financial discrepancies.
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure compliance with firm procedures.
- Collaborate with accounting and legal staff to support daily operations.
- Handle confidential financial and client information with professionalism.
What you'll need#
- Current college student pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field.
- Availability to work at least 20 hours per week.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Dependable, professional, and eager to learn.
- Previous internship or office experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or administration is preferred.
- Experience with QuickBooks Online or other accounting software is preferred.
- Reliable transportation for occasional travel between DFW offices is preferred.
