About the role#
This internship focuses on using AI, data science, and predictive analytics to solve quality and sustainability challenges. You will work within the Research and Development and Quality Assurance divisions to turn complex data into business strategy. The role requires you to navigate ambiguous problems and build solutions that create measurable impact on operations and environmental goals.
What you'll do#
- Develop predictive analytics and AI-driven solutions to identify quality issues before they occur.
- Explore patterns using manufacturing, operational, and quality datasets.
- Build predictive models and generate insights to support decision-making.
- Quantify the business and sustainability impact of your solutions.
- Evaluate reductions in material and packaging waste, estimate environmental benefits, and find opportunities for recycling and recovery.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
- Must have completed your freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior year by the start of the internship and remain academically active.
- Strong skills in data analysis and statistical modeling.
- Experience working with large or complex datasets.
- Proficiency in AI, machine learning, or predictive analytics concepts.
- Experience with programming languages like Python, R, or SQL.
- Ability to translate data findings into actionable recommendations.
- Data visualization and technical storytelling skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Ada, Michigan.
- Work Modality: On-site Monday through Thursday, with Friday as a remote optional day.
- Employment: Full time.
