About the role#
As a Process Engineer Intern at Amphenol CIT, you will gain hands-on experience supporting manufacturing and assembly processes for industrial products. You will work alongside experienced engineers to apply engineering principles to real-world challenges. This role involves documenting processes, supporting new product introductions, and participating in continuous improvement efforts.
What you'll do#
- Document manufacturing processes for components, connectors, cable assemblies, and harnesses.
- Learn core product knowledge from Process Engineers.
- Support documentation compliance with Quality System requirements and assist with process validation.
- Create and maintain work instructions for new product introductions under supervision.
- Collaborate with engineering services and internal teams to support department goals.
- Observe and assist in new product introduction builds.
- Conduct time studies and evaluate time standards with Manufacturing and Assembly teams.
- Contribute to project teams and perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn in a collaborative environment.
- Exposure to manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with SolidWorks or other CAD software is preferred.
- Interest in hi-mix/low-volume manufacturing is preferred.

- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: 21 USD per hour.
- Schedule: Flexible, 15+ hours per week.
