Amgen British Columbia is a research center of excellence in Burnaby focused on platform technology for therapeutic antibody discovery. This 8-month co-op position within the Technology department offers the opportunity to design, develop, and implement software solutions that accelerate scientific processes. You will work alongside scientists and technologists to bridge the gap between laboratory requirements and digital solutions.
What you'll do#
- Develop and optimize internal and vendor software systems, including the implementation of data pipelines.
- Collaborate with scientists and technology team members to automate laboratory instruments to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Design and implement data visualization tools and dashboards to assist researchers in interpreting complex data sets.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Participate in the testing and validation of new systems and prepare technical documentation for maintenance.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Completion of at least one year of study at an accredited college or university.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, or C#.
- Ability to commit to two consecutive four-month terms.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

- Employment Type: Full-time, paid.
- Salary: $45,000 – $54,000 CAD.
