About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in investment management. You will work directly with portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to support the investment process. The program focuses on mentorship and shadowing, allowing you to contribute to real portfolio decisions and research.
What you'll do#
- Prepare daily investment reports for the portfolio management team.
- Collaborate with the team to improve daily workflow efficiency.
- Attend internal meetings to evaluate new investment opportunities for client portfolios.
- Build new tools and reports that assist in idea generation, portfolio construction, and monitoring.
- Learn how research-based investment ideas are executed in client portfolios.
- Gain knowledge of Investment Grade Corporate bonds and broader fixed income markets through research and team discussions.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or May/June 2028.
- Strong interest in financial markets, investing, and credit analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Bloomberg.
- Experience with programming languages like R or Python, and AI tools.
- Ability to work independently, solve problems, and manage multiple tasks.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with an attention to detail.
- Valid work authorization in the United States without need for sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota.
- Modality: Hybrid, with at least four days per week in the office.
- Employment: Full-time, paid at $32.75 per hour.
