About the role#
This summer internship provides experience with Pension Risk Transfer pricing projects. You will work alongside our team to gain a technical and high-level understanding of the pricing process, including the actuarial, financial, and operational work behind premium submissions. The program focuses on developing your actuarial and business skills through hands-on project work.
What you'll do#
- Assist with Pension Risk Transfer pricing projects.
- Gain insight into the PRT pricing process and underlying workstreams.
- Develop professional actuarial and business skills.
- Utilize tools including Excel, VBA, Python, PowerPoint, and SQL.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university.
- Junior standing or higher by the start of the internship, including May 2027 graduates.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Completed actuarial coursework in probability, statistics, life contingencies, or financial math.
- Proficiency in Excel and coding skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Location & details#
- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 24 to August 6, with an optional extension to August 13).
- This position is paid.
