About the role#
This internship provides hands-on, real-world corporate experience within the insurance industry. You will participate in intentional learning, leadership exposure, business education, and relationship-building opportunities. The program is designed to help you build professional connections and contribute to meaningful projects.
What you'll do#
- Perform hands-on, role-related project work.
- Engage in professional development through leadership exposure and business education.
- Work with technical tools such as GGY AXIS, Excel, R, Power Query, Python, VS Code, and Power BI.
- Support departments including Principle Based Reserving, Actuarial Assumptions Management, and Transformation & Quality Assurance.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university with a major in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
- Junior standing or higher by the start of the internship. May 2027 graduates are welcome to apply.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- At least one SOA exam passed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Sound problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
- Self-motivation with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
Location & details#
- Location: Houston, Texas.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Modality: This position is on-site.
- Compensation: This is a paid position.
