About the role#
The Data Management team within Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) focuses on driving high-quality data to support business decisions, regulatory compliance, risk management, and operational effectiveness. As an intern, you will partner with business, technology, and governance teams to define data assets, establish ownership, and support enterprise data management practices.
What you'll do#
- Develop an understanding of data management, governance, and data quality practices in a global financial services organization.
- Support initiatives focused on data quality, data ownership, metadata management, and critical data element governance.
- Assist with the documentation of business requirements, data lineage, controls, and governance processes.
- Support reporting and dashboard development to monitor data quality and governance metrics.
- Create presentations and executive-ready materials summarizing findings, recommendations, and project outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled in a full-time Master's degree program, with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex information and identify insights.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Preferred majors include Data Science, Computer Science, Business Administration, or Statistics.
Location & details#
- This is a paid summer 2027 internship based in Phoenix, Arizona.
- The role offers remote, on-site, and hybrid work options.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, as sponsorship is not provided for this position.
