About the role#
As a Finance Summer Intern, you will join our business operations to gain experience in financial processes, transaction recording, and analytical exercises. You will work alongside a designated advisor to develop skills related to our core business functions while contributing to key deliverables. You will be assigned multiple projects for your department throughout the duration of the internship.
What you'll do#
- Provide financial support through analysis assignments, including global billing projects.
- Assist with financial transaction processing, analysis, and verification.
- Communicate workload status to team members to ensure client needs are met.
- Propose advice to billers and suggest new approaches to problems.
- Manage bank accounts to report balances and perform transfers.
- Perform and document application control testing.
- Assist in developing business performance metrics and monitoring programs.
- Write and present procedures.
- Collaborate with credit control, collections, the GL team, and global billing offices.
- Assist with data collection for quality improvement.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student in an accredited university pursuing a BBA, BS, or MS.
- Completion of at least 60 credit hours, preferably in Accounting or Finance.
- Preference for students enrolled at Texas A&M University, University of Houston, or Prairie View A&M University.
- Minimum GPA of 2.75 or higher is preferred.
- Ability to reside within a reasonable daily commute of Spring, Texas.
- Availability to complete the full internship from May to August 2026.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a results-oriented approach with attention to accuracy.
- Ability to learn the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.
