About the role#
The Human Resources & Learning Development Intern will support strategic initiatives focused on employee experience, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness. You will work across multiple HR disciplines, including benefits research, program administration, and employee engagement. This role involves collaborating with HR leaders on data analysis, communications, and projects that support organizational priorities.
What you'll do#
- Conduct research on employee benefits programs, workforce practices, and administrative models.
- Analyze findings and prepare reports, presentations, and recommendations for HR decision-making.
- Assist with benchmarking and environmental scans on HR trends.
- Coordinate and evaluate learning and development programs, including leadership and professional development initiatives.
- Create learning materials, job aids, and participant resources.
- Support employee learning and adoption initiatives for AI-enabled tools and emerging workplace technologies.
- Act as a resource and ambassador for the intern community to help foster connections.
- Gather feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing the intern experience.
- Assist with special projects and cross-functional HR initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Graduate Student with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.
- An interest in learning and development, employee experience, organizational effectiveness, and emerging workplace technologies.
- Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and the ability to work independently.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027).
- Location: Washington, DC.
- Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to work onsite at least two days per week.
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Compensation: $30 per hour.
