About the role#
This internship offers a paid opportunity to work with the American Bankers Association in Washington, DC. You will join our team for the summer of 2027 to gain experience in fraud risk management. This full-time position involves working on projects that support our members and the broader banking industry.
What you'll do#
- Write fraud related policy materials and articles.
- Support program committees and working groups by managing schedules and taking notes.
- Help develop operational tools.
- Analyze data regarding fraud risks and performance.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited graduate program with an expected graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Academic background in Finance, Criminal Justice, or Business Administration.
- Strong writing skills, specifically for professional memorandums.
- Organizational ability to manage meeting agendas, notes, and invitations.
- Familiarity with policy and procedural requirements.
- Experience using and developing Excel documents.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC.
- Modality: Hybrid (onsite at least two days per week).
- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 to August 13, 2027).
- Employment: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Compensation: $30 per hour.
