About the role#
The Workforce Excellence intern will support the American Bankers Association during the summer of 2027. This role provides hands-on experience by engaging with bankers and creating program materials. You will work with a team to support industry-wide initiatives and committee operations.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and program support for Banker Open Committees and meetings.
- Take notes and compile resources for the Women Lead Symposium and other programs.
- Develop surveys and content for the Workforce Excellence Exchanges to drive member engagement.
- Research and assist in creating presentations and workshops for the Women Lead program.
- Identify potential speakers for conferences and internal events.
- Research and compile resources regarding workforce development and relevant industry topics.
- Handle other administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Rising junior or senior undergraduate status at an accredited university with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Coursework in Communications, Sociology, Political Science, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
- Strong research, writing, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with Zoom or similar video meeting platforms.
- A collaborative mindset and a desire to learn.
- Interest in workforce development, leadership strategies, and inclusive management practices is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC.
- Term: June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
- Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to work onsite at least two days per week.
- Compensation: Paid at $25 per hour.
