About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to work with the Partner Network team at the American Bankers Association. You will support business development, sales, and marketing efforts while gaining experience in a professional trade association environment. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Identify potential companies that may benefit from Partner Network membership.
- Conduct market research to find new partners, sponsors, and exhibitors.
- Track industry trends and research banking events.
- Analyze current membership benefits and help improve offerings.
- Support sales efforts for sponsorships and exhibits.
- Perform competitor analysis, including reviewing pricing models and sponsorship packages.
- Assist with lead searches for recruitment.
- Support communication efforts to increase Partner Network visibility.
- Assist with customer service activities to maintain strong partner relationships.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a rising junior or senior at an accredited college or university, with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, or Communications.
- Strong research and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM tools.
- High attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Professional customer service ability.
Location & details#
- Location: Washington, DC.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with an expectation to work onsite at least two days per week.
- Term: June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Compensation: $25 per hour.
- Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week.
