About the role#
This internship supports the daily operations of the Sustainability, Community, and Inclusion (SCI) team. You will spend your time across three functional areas, focusing on ESG research, inclusive engagement outreach, and community partnership data analysis. This is a full-time, paid summer internship based at the Ameren headquarters.
What you'll do#
- Conduct ESG benchmarking and research to support voluntary reporting and energy affordability initiatives.
- Maintain and update the inclusive engagement team webpage and SharePoint site.
- Implement outreach efforts for employees and the community, including collaboration on equity projects.
- Collect and distill data from grants and sponsorships to inform nonprofit partner relationships and editorial content.
- Support corporate campaigns and fundraising activities, such as the United Way.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelors or Masters program at an accredited college or university, with a preferred focus in Human Resources, Sociology, Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Marketing, or Data Science.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to balance multiple deliverables.
- Experience writing for digital channels and a background in web or graphic design.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data and chart creation.
- Strong analytical, communication, and human relations skills.
