About the role#
The IT Data Intern will join our team during a critical phase as we integrate SAP across our core business functions. You will gain hands-on experience in data analysis and IT operations while working under corporate mentorship. This is a paid, part-time position based on-site in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Assist with data gathering, analysis, and the development of recommendations to help business partners use SAP effectively.
- Manage data tasks for the SAP project, including data discovery, migration, and validation.
- Build Power BI reports using semantic models and manage operational reports for stakeholders.
- Analyze trends in SAP data and defect reports to identify areas for improvement.
- Create testing and training documentation for key stakeholders.
- Work cross-functionally with other business areas to support transformation initiatives.
- Present your analysis and recommendations to senior management.
- Adapt to changing priorities and perform process improvement analysis.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a Junior or Senior in a Bachelor's degree program, or a recent graduate in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and advanced formulas.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- Exposure to SAP reporting solutions like SAP Analytics Cloud or SAP Datasphere is a plus.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services like Cloud Data Fusion and Cloud Composer is helpful.
- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA Data Migration Cockpit is a plus.
