About the role#
AltaGas is looking for a Sustainability Intern to join our team for a four-month term. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience supporting sustainability reporting, data collection, and projects that contribute to our environmental and corporate responsibility initiatives. You will work alongside professionals to build your understanding of corporate sustainability.
What you'll do#
- Support sustainability reporting and data collection related to ESG goals.
- Organize, review, and analyze environmental data.
- Collaborate with team members and internal stakeholders on sustainability initiatives.
- Assist with research, reports, and presentations.
- Support ad hoc projects across the Sustainability team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 2nd or 3rd year of an undergraduate degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Business, Engineering, or Economics.
- An interest in sustainability, ESG, environmental performance, and the energy industry.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail when working with data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to organize information, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn.
