About the role#
The In Vitro Pharmacology team at Alloy Therapeutics collaborates with partners to conduct studies on therapeutic candidates. We deliver functional screening and characterization of biologics to support the selection of lead candidates. This role involves supporting research programs by running validated assay systems for testing antibodies and cell therapies. You will work with high-throughput methods to evaluate the activity of novel biologics on human cells.
What you'll do#
- Support daily lab workflows and maintain cell line inventories.
- Execute cell-based functional assays using high-throughput approaches in primary cells, reporter cell lines, and other disease-relevant systems.
- Present experimental findings during team meetings.
- Ensure project activities are executed on time and according to plan.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and follow safety protocols.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with mammalian cells in a BSL2+ laboratory environment.
- Strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented approach with rigorous scientific thinking.
- Experience with flow cytometry, molecular biology techniques, human blood handling, leukopak processing, and PBMC isolations is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Waltham, Massachusetts.
- The role is on-site and full-time.
- Compensation is $23 to $32 per hour, based on experience and skills.
- This is a paid, rolling term co-op.
