About the role#
Alliance Animal Health is offering a paid DVM Student Externship at Lefferts Animal Hospital in Richmond Hill, Queens. This opportunity is open to 1st through 4th-year veterinary students who want to enhance their education through real-world clinical experience. Externs receive 1:1 mentorship and guidance as part of a 10-doctor general practice.
What you'll do#
- Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for companion animals.
- Promote responsible pet ownership and preventative health care to clients.
- Participate in clinical services including surgery, emergency and urgent care, high-speed dentistry, and diagnostic procedures.
What you'll need#
- Must be an active veterinary student currently enrolled at an AVMA-accredited institution.
- Ability to work as a compassionate team player with strong communication skills.
- Interest in gaining hands-on experience in a full-service practice environment.

- Location: Queens, New York.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
