    About the role#

    The Systems Engineering Intern will support the Locks and Access Solutions business unit. You will work alongside experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience by applying systems engineering principles to the development and enhancement of security products.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist in the design, analysis, and testing of system components and assemblies.
    • Support the development and integration of mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
    • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to discuss project requirements and progress.
    • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system requirements, interface definitions, and system block diagrams.
    • Assist in the verification of requirements and structured problem solving activities.
    • Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
    • A strong interest in Systems Engineering and its applications.
    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • A basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering principles.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.

    • Location: Indianapolis, Indiana.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Employment: Full-time, paid internship.
