About the role#
Allegion is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Golden, Colorado for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position. You will work on software that powers our IoT-enabled security hardware, gaining hands-on experience with modern technologies and systems thinking.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop full-stack applications and enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new features, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.
- Use AI coding agents to create rapid prototypes and solutions while maintaining code quality.
- Focus on the usability and customer experience of our access control systems.
- Contribute to real-world projects that impact the business.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
- A working knowledge of software engineering design, principles, and systems thinking.
- Strong creative problem-solving techniques and effective time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Effective listening skills.
- Resiliency and the ability to adapt quickly to new challenges.
- A desire to learn, grow, and develop your professional skills.

- Compensation: $25 to $26 per hour.
