    About the role#

    The Firmware Engineer intern will support the development of embedded firmware solutions for electronic access control and security products. You will work within a small team to define requirements, design system architecture, and test embedded software. This role provides hands-on experience with electronic locking systems and the opportunity to contribute to product innovation.

    What you'll do#

    • Develop and test embedded software while integrating firmware into modular systems.
    • Scope firmware requirements and document system architecture.
    • Use programming languages like C and Python.
    • Apply product development tools including functional block, flow, and state diagrams.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in daily standups and design reviews.
    • Build knowledge of electronics and laboratory tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

    What you'll need#

    • Current pursuit of a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    • Demonstrated leadership through school, work, extracurriculars, or projects.
    • Coursework in C programming and foundational knowledge of electronics.
    • Strong listening, time management, and problem-solving skills.
    • An eagerness to learn and contribute to team projects.
