About the role#
This internship focuses on internal communications and employee engagement. You will help bring company culture to life through video production, storytelling, and digital content creation. You will work with the Internal Communications and Engagement team to keep team members informed and connected across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Plan, film, edit, and produce internal videos for employee communications.
- Develop creative concepts, scripts, storyboards, and content ideas.
- Capture video footage, interviews, photos, and team member stories at various locations and events.
- Create multimedia content including short-form videos and graphics.
- Support the distribution of communications through Microsoft Teams and newsletters.
- Collaborate with departments to gather information and coordinate projects.
- Organize and maintain video files, photos, and content libraries.
- Update internal documentation and learning portals.
- Contribute ideas to improve employee engagement and refine content for career development goals.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Communications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to fix problems independently when they occur.
- Experience with Windows and Macintosh operating systems.
- Ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and sound decision-making.
- A positive attitude toward supporting members and co-workers.
- A history of positively impacting the community through service.
Location & details#
- Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 25, 2027, to July 30, 2027).
- Modality: On-site, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Compensation: $15.00 per hour.
- Status: Part-time, 37.5 hours per week.
