About the role#
As an Assistant Project Manager Intern at Ahern, you will work directly with project managers to support the construction process. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Chicago. You will gain hands-on experience by contributing to active projects rather than performing administrative tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with estimating takeoff and use computerized software to build accurate estimates.
- Assemble finished proposals for review.
- Manage projects through all phases, from initial planning to completion.
- Requisition necessary materials for job sites.
- Participate in project meetings to track progress and coordinate tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering, or Construction Management.
- You should be entering your junior year of school.
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, along with general computer skills.
- A self-motivated approach and the ability to learn new information quickly.
