Student Respiratory Care

About the role#

The Student Respiratory Care position at Adena Health System provides respiratory pharmacologic, diagnostic, and therapeutic care to patients of all age groups. Working under the direct supervision of a Respiratory Care supervisor and the shift Lead/Charge Therapist, you will provide direct patient care and collaborate with physicians, families, and clinical teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

What you'll do#

• Carry out physician orders according to established protocols and policies.
• Perform diagnostic procedures and cardiac monitoring, including the recognition of arrhythmias.
• Administer medications for the testing or treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Provide input for the development of department policies, procedures, and protocols.

What you'll need#

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be a student actively enrolled and in good standing in a recognized respiratory care educational program.
• Current Ohio Respiratory Care Limited Permit.
• BLS – Basic Life Support certification.
