About the role#
ACI Worldwide is hiring Technology Interns for the Summer 2027 term. This program provides hands-on experience in software development, quality assurance, site reliability, DevOps, and platform engineering. You will work alongside technology professionals on projects that support global digital payment systems. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Norcross, Georgia.
What you'll do#
As an intern, you will join an Agile team to contribute to real-world software and infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities include:
- Designing, developing, testing, and delivering software solutions.
- Building, automating, and maintaining cloud-based applications.
- Supporting quality assurance through test planning, execution, and defect analysis.
- Learning DevOps practices such as CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring.
- Collaborating with Site Reliability Engineers to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Contributing to platform engineering initiatives to enhance developer productivity.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
- Applying software development and engineering best practices.
What you'll need#
We are looking for students who are curious, motivated, and collaborative. Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field.
- Completed at least two years of relevant coursework.
- Expected graduation within one to two years.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively on a team while taking independent initiative.
We value academic projects or experience in the following areas:
- Programming languages: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Development principles: Object-oriented design, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Cloud and modern tools: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git.
- Quality assurance: Test automation, quality engineering, and manual testing methodologies.
- SRE and DevOps: Linux administration, monitoring tools, Infrastructure as Code, and scripting.
- Platform engineering: Developer tooling and cloud-native technologies.
