The Administrative Intern supports various departments at Access: Supports for Living, including Development, Quality Assurance, Human Resources, Finance, and Information Technology. This role provides an opportunity to gain experience in a non-profit environment by assisting with data-driven projects and administrative operations.
What you'll do#
- Perform data entry, analysis, and reporting to support project teams.
- Participate in departmental and team meetings.
- Assist with data collection and conduct surveys.
- Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation.
- Provide administrative and research support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational initiatives and identify process improvements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Business Administration, Non-Profit Management, Finance, Computer Science, or Human Resources.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail with the ability to follow regulatory requirements.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data tracking tools.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- Location: Middletown, NY (with potential availability in Mount Vernon, NY).
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Flexible, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.
- Status: Unpaid internship; must be enrolled in a degree program granting academic credit.
- Physical requirements: Ability to use standard office equipment, sit or stand for extended periods, work in an open-office environment, and occasionally lift over 15 pounds.
