About the role#
The Veterans Resource Center (VRC) Assistant supports daily operations at the Academy of Art University. This role helps maintain the center, assists student visitors, and supports the Student Services Coordinator. It is a Federal Work Study position designed to help you build organizational and administrative skills while you complete your degree.
What you'll do#
- Greet visitors and check students into the VRC.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls.
- Accept documents from students.
- Lead tours of the VRC.
- Assist students with equipment use.
- Keep the VRC space tidy and presentable.
- Help with scheduled events and general administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- Solid interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
Location & details#
- Location: 79 New Montgomery Street, San Francisco, California.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Tuesday and Thursday, 4 to 6 hours per day. A third day may be included for a total of 18 hours per week. Schedules cannot conflict with your classes.
- Employment Term: Rolling, from your starting term through graduation.
