About the role#
As a Systems Engineering Intern, you will gain practical experience by supporting ABB operations and project delivery. You will work under the guidance of an Engineering Manager, participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions while contributing to technical projects. This role focuses on applying your academic background to real-world automation challenges.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operations and ensure projects meet deadlines.
- Use engineering software and computer programs to perform technical analyses and document findings.
- Identify solutions for clients based on their specific needs and project requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and research innovative approaches.
- Explore and apply AI tools to improve the performance and efficiency of automation systems.
- Seek feedback from your manager and team members to refine your skills and performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor or master degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to think critically to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
- Skills to organize and prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining high quality.
- Capability to collaborate with team members to share information and provide project updates.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Cleveland, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site or hybrid.
- Compensation: $20 to $34 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Requirements: You must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite and reside within a 50-mile radius of the office. No relocation assistance is provided.
