About the role#
The Philanthropy - Social Media & Marketing Intern supports the communications and marketing program at A New Leaf. This role offers an opportunity to gain professional skills in nonprofit communications, digital marketing, and public relations. Interns work under supervision to complete tasks that align with their academic goals.
What you'll do#
- Create marketing materials while applying brand standards.
- Support online reputation management through supervised engagement activities.
- Maintain the social media content calendar.
- Draft and distribute press releases under staff guidance.
- Participate in cross-training for fundraising and philanthropy marketing.
- Collaborate with staff and marketing partners on project components.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a college or university program related to marketing, communications, journalism, or media studies.
- You must be seeking academic credit for this internship.
- A valid Class One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Ability to pass a DES or DCS Central Registry background check.
- A valid, unrestricted driver license.

- Location: Mesa, Arizona.
- Work modality: Remote, on-site, or hybrid options depending on program needs.
- Commitment: 10 to 20 hours per week.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship for academic credit.
