About the role#
As an Events Intern at the 4Roots Farm Campus, you will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit event planning and production. You will support our team in creating community events that connect people to food, farming, education, and wellness. This role offers mentorship from professionals and exposure to logistics, guest services, and vendor coordination.
What you'll do#
- Support the setup, breakdown, and daily logistics of events.
- Assist with volunteer coordination and manage the guest experience.
- Help track RSVPs, communicate with vendors, and organize event supplies.
- Capture event content and share your creative ideas for future programming.
What you'll need#
- You are a current college student pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Event Management, Hospitality, Nonprofit studies, or a related field.
- You are detail-oriented, friendly, and work well in a team environment.
- You have an interest in purpose-driven events and community impact.
- You are available to work occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Location & details#
- Location: Orlando, Florida.
- Modality: On-site at the 4Roots Farm Campus.
- Schedule: 18+ hours per week, with a schedule flexible to your classes.
- Term: Fall 2026, Winter 2027, and Spring 2027 (August 2026 - May 2027).
- Compensation: $16 per hour.
- Requirements: You must be able to walk throughout the campus, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 25 lbs. We work in both indoor and outdoor settings, so you will be exposed to varying weather conditions. Background checks are required.
