About the role#
The Legal Intern supports the Chief Legal Officer and the broader legal team at 3CDC. This role provides hands-on exposure to legal and regulatory matters involving nonprofit operations and real estate development. You will work on tasks related to corporate governance, compliance, and real estate transactions within a community-focused environment.
What you'll do#
- Draft, review, and organize contracts for real estate acquisitions, leases, financing, events, and development.
- Conduct legal research on topics including real estate, municipal, corporate, and nonprofit law.
- Support due diligence processes by reviewing titles and associated documentation.
- Help maintain corporate governance records and compliance files.
- Prepare internal legal resources, summaries, and templates.
- Coordinate with internal teams and outside counsel.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited law school.
- Interest in real estate, nonprofit law, or community development.
- Strong writing, research, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Alignment with the mission of equitable urban development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- The role is paid and full-time.
